Why You Need a Web Consultant - Not a Web Designer

It's so easy to find a web designer, who can create you an attractive web page. As you do internet searches, I am sure you will find a mass of talented designers who can deliver visually pleasing web pages. However, many times when you are creating a web page you need to create more than an attractive page; which is why you need a "web consultant" not a "web designer."

Finding companies and designers to make visual pleasing web pages is easy. There is no shortage of talented designers. Keep in mind, I am not trying to de-credit a solid, attractive web page. An attractive page keeps visitors coming back for more and makes for a more reputable company image. All things that all businesses want. Design is an important component to any successful website. However, there is so much more to websites than just making it look fancy. Websites take planning, critical thinking and strategy; especially when you want to increase your visitor's conversion rates.

Just because you create a website does not mean people are going to find it. That is plain and simply not the way it works. The reason why I stress this, is that so many of my clients simply tell me, "I want a website." My response is always this, "No, you want a website that works." They usually respond "Well, yeah." But guess what, if you say you want a website to most companies, they will simply create you one. However, 99/100 the websites that are just created and made live simply do not produce results. The website they received was simply not an "effective" website, even though that is what they wanted in the first place.

This is exactly the reason why you need a web consultant, not a web design er. A web designer 's job is this, create an attractive page that leaves a lasting impression on their visitors. Most of them accomplish this. As I have said before, it's not hard to find talent in the graphic department. However, what is not the web designer's job is to make visitors come to the website, find the website or even use the website. This is why you need a web consultant - a web consultant's job is to make your website effective. They take the time to analyze the market, develop a strategy and make it work. Graphic and web designers most times do not do this. If you truly want to see results I suggest finding a quality web consultant who can analyze potential strategies, discover options and make the right decisions to bring your business to success.
